How do the 6 therapy sessions work
1.
The first session will focus on defining the goals of therapy, specifically tailored to managing learning disorders such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, or motor function challenges. Together, we will outline concrete steps to address these issues and improve the functioning and well-being of both your child and yourself.
2.
In the second session, we will focus on mastering effective communication and planning. You will learn how to communicate effectively with a child who has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or struggles with reading, writing, or math. Additionally, we will work on strategies to organize daily activities, ensuring a smoother and more manageable routine.
3.
The third session will focus on creating a daily routine tailored to your child’s specific needs. This will include taking into account external factors, such as school schedules, and internal factors, such as the structure of your home environment. Together, we will design a routine that supports your child’s development and overall harmony.
4.
The fourth session will focus on gaining a deeper understanding of the disorder and its impact on both your child and yourself. You will learn how to communicate in ways that support achieving your goals and effectively manage challenging situations related to dyslexia, ADHD, or other specific disorders.
5.
In the fifth session, we will address your individual concerns and reinforce the skills you have developed during therapy. We will review how you’ve managed challenges related to learning disorders and discuss the impact these changes have had on your daily life.
6.
During the final session, we will recap the skills you’ve gained and set new goals for further changes you wish to achieve. By this point, you will have the tools needed to continue independently, or we can plan to proceed with developmental therapy if desired.
